1. Optional service and authorization
The school may authorize selected assignments for draft grading and teacher assistance. The operator must record the approving adult's authority, this addendum version, provider/DPA schedules and approved educational purpose before external processing. Students do not accept or waive rights on the school's behalf. The feature remains disabled until integration, accounting and processing safeguards are ready.
2. Processing instructions
The planned provider is Fireworks.ai, Inc. for inference on assignment instructions, approved rubrics and relevant submission text. Keep account identifiers and OAuth tokens out of the grading payload, minimize unnecessary content and identify any personal information remaining in text. Submission content and outputs remain protected Student Data; the school retains its rights in that content. Processing is limited to the approved educational purpose, not sale, advertising, provider training opt-in or unrelated commercial use.
3. Required data schedule
Before launch, record the provider/model, country or region, data categories, contractual instructions, access controls, retention limits for prompts/outputs/logs, backup lifecycle, deletion propagation, incident contacts and legal disclosure process. Verify provider terms; a public zero-retention statement alone is not a completed school-specific agreement. The signed DPA controls privacy protection and non-waivable duties remain with the responsible party.
4. Classroom access and teacher decisions
Optional course/roster import remains separate. Assignment access requires a reviewed minimum-scope workflow; attachment content and grade write-back require separately authorized supported permissions. Do not enable them on the strength of this page alone. Teachers approve rubrics and retain responsibility for academic decisions. Review is the default; an authorized teacher may explicitly enable automatic publishing per eligible assignment without approving each result. Missing or uncertain work, invalid scores, changed submissions and existing grades remain in review. Teachers can disable automation and correct grades. Automatic publishing is limited to same-developer-project coursework or a supported add-on with Grade Sync, and remains disabled until production safeguards are ready. No guaranteed accuracy, automatic misconduct finding or AI-detection-based grade is provided.
5. Included allowance and purchases
Max at $7 per student per month has a planned 1-million-token Basic monthly allowance only at 500 or more students, independent of teacher count. Schools with fewer than 500 students receive no included grading tokens. Unused included tokens roll over during an active paid Max subscription. Input, output and billed reasoning count once toward the allowance. Optional packs are separate; overages require express authorization. The order must complete the enrollment measurement, monthly credit date, cancellation/downgrade balance treatment, refund/expiration terms and all remaining fees before activation.
6. Review, objections and amendments
Send questions, objections or proposed revisions to [email protected]. Do not send credentials or unredacted student work. A review email is not acceptance or a signed amendment. Use authorized written approval under the school's existing agreement, and preserve prior acceptance records. A school may decline grading without accepting a new external data flow. Material provider/data-use changes require renewed review and authorization as applicable.
7. Completion record
The school-specific signed document must identify both legal entities, order and DPA references, feature/provider schedules, version, authorized signers and dates. This public preview contains no signature collection and makes no certification of legal compliance. Existing signed agreements control until validly amended.
